In our society, this attribute is so often overlooked. In their society, it is often the cornerstone and sometimes, sadly, the only thing they have that they can truly call their own.

A very important principle of Rooms To Learn is that in all things the pride of the people must be maintained. Without this, we fear our help would do more harm than good in creating yet another society of dependent people. We go to great lengths in the defense of this principal and are happy to assume our benefactors agree.
